New Performance-Oriented Group Dog Training Classes at FetchMasters

While group dog training classes are a great way to build basic foundational obedience skills and wrack up a little socialization time at a low price point, they traditionally are not geared towards a high level of real-world performance — which has been FetchMasters’ calling card over the last decade.

Beginning the first week of June, FetchMasters will be introducing a new group dog training class that will focus on developing basic obedience skills to a level that is highly functional both indoors and outdoors.

The class will take a hybrid approach to training that is both group oriented and individualized, tracking and pushing the performance of each dog while making sure all class members are thoroughly versed in a fundamental understanding of dogs, their learning process and core knowledge about living successfully with dogs.

The training will take place at the FetchMasters Ranch just east of Tower Road along I-70. On the property, we have access to a spacious indoor training area and lots of open-air outdoor space, complete with distractions such as rabbits, chickens, ducks, homing pigeons, dogs and people. As always, FetchMasters always favors outdoor training and the distractions inherent in that environment for building real-world functionality.

We will be limiting class size to nine participants in order to maintain safe social standards in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. Safety will be an important component of this class.

Our goal with this class is to bridge the gap between low-level group classes and higher-performance private coaching and board-and-train approaches.
